5 Artists From the UNDRGRND Collection

UNDRGRND DIGS is a periodical feature showcasing artists that the UNDRGRND curators dig. We sift through the social media and NFT platforms to find the best artists waiting to be discovered. UNDRGRND believes in the artists we feature and we will purchase NFTs from each artist featured. Purchases will be airdropped to reward UNDRGRND community members.

appearing in Slava3ng‘s work. The pigeons at least behave in a pigeon-like manner pecking away and playing their favorite game (“Need for Bread”) in Breadracer. The chattering teeth arguing in Bar_dispute and the anatomically correct heart lounging in a rocking chair in Cardio_leisure are absurdly incredible but never realistically occurring. Created in retro computer graphics style these images fit into any motion art collection.

There isn’t enough space to tell the complete story of Zamahel’s work in just one UNDRGRND DIGS. A majority of his work tells the story of indigenous people fighting against imperialist nations. In his genesis piece, Zamahel writes in the description, “This is my first piece of cryptoart and reflects my inspiration, respect and interest for the pre-Hispanic First Nations of the western hemisphere, their history, culture, existence and struggle in the present.” Stories and culture will die with no one left to tell them but with Zamahel’s art (and blockchain technology) history can survive invasions, genocides and even us.

Combining a Basquiat style with glitch motion effects Smarahakim attacks the corporate elite and capitalism. In Zombi Lembur we’re introduced to one of his corporate men, The First Manager. Here dedication is greater than your health, life and even money. Dedication to the corporate world, the bottom line and you too can toast to a profitable quarter and celebrate with a nice glass of poison. Smarahakim, while from Japan, resonates with anyone from the working class regardless of country of origin.

These colorful, intricate machines are beautiful, technological marvels considering the size a Dr. Vicente Ventura designs them. Intton Godelg tells us in the description that in this found footage of the machines (showcasing a variety of experiments exploring consciousness) the fruits in the foreground could be used for scale or gives us an alternate use, like making sorbet. These masterful 3D images are mesmerizing but perhaps the true art is Intton’s dry sense of humor shining through the world he creates in those little blurbs.

Watching Gaston’s videos of him creating these detailed drawings are part of the artwork themselves. Each NFT carries Gaston’s creed “We are Architects of our Destiny”. Paired with a subtle “DMT” in his OBJKT profile and the geometric designs we can assume these intricate drawings stem from visions Gaston has seen in the great beyond. Killed Soil confirms this with his description, “Opening Doorways to Unknown Realities.” The enlightenment gained from those DMT experiences is now generating exquisitely detailed drawings encouraging us all to forge our path along with him.

Each UNDRGRND DIGS will feature artists our curators have purchased for the UNDRGRND Collection. UNDRGRND will airdrop pieces from our collection to community members via giveaways.
