COVID-19

Clinic

operating

measures

Since BFCC’s initial quarantine-mandated closure in 2020, we have been responding to emergent patient needs; still to this day (May 2022), we continue to comply with current health care mandates, and prepare and revise our go-forward, new normal practice procedures. The following list of measures and resources have been established for your safety in order to provide your necessary chiropractic care:

  • Paced appointment booking to respect physical distancing measures, controlling the number of patients in the clinic at any one time — walk-ins not permitted:

    • Promptly attend your appointment at the designated time to help us control the number of patients in the clinic as well as expected patients for booked appointments

    • No early clinic admittance prior to 9am or 2pm for our stated collective safety concerns and clinic cleaning and resetting needs

  • Patients are expected to wear personal face masks while in the clinic at all times

  • A protective acrylic shield has been installed at the front desk with openings for transactions

  • Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be worn by all clinic staff

To further reduce surface contact as much as possible:

    • Patient sign-in upon entry has been discontinued

    • Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance and available in adjusting rooms

    • Seating has been modified in our reception and adjusting rooms to respect physical distancing measures

    • Disinfection protocols are in place for high touch areas, including adjusting tables

  • To further reduce contact as much as possible, use of our digital filing system is in place to avoid all paper handling in the office:

    • Payment for services will be cashless (by credit or debit cards only; no cash will be kept on site for change)

    • Transaction / receipt and annual statements will be emailed to each patient as necessary

Current COVID-19 guidance and updates for chiropractors from the College of Chiropractors of Ontario can be found here (click here for downloadable PDF resource) — and the news release for regulated health professionals from the Ontario Government of Ontario can be found here. Be sure to check these websites regularly as directives change rapidly in response to our changing health environment.

To assist with everyone's safety, and fulfill the expected professional and government protocol (linked above) — we are not accepting walk-ins during social and physical distancing phases; please book and promptly attend your appointment at the designated time to help us control the number of patients in the clinic.

If you are experiencing symptoms that may be similar to COVID-19, please await either the passing of the symptoms or the receipt of a negative result of a COVID-19 test before attending the clinic for treatment. More, if you have travelled, self-isolating for a 14-day period should be performed.

If you cannot make your appointment for whatever reason, our cancellation policy (below) is in effect — and we ask that you notify us as soon as you’re able so that we may offer your appointment to another patient in need.

Much thought and preparation has gone into creating a safe, comfortable, and functional service environment for the delivery of your chiropractic care. We ask for your renewed partnership, patience, and cooperation as we do our best to reopen and make this transition as smooth and safe as possible for our BFCC community. We look forward to seeing you again as scheduled to help get your health care back on track!

cancellation

policy

As implemented for all appointments booked after September 1, 2014 — renewed as of July 1, 2021

SAME-DAY RESCHEDULING REQUESTS

There will be no charge for moving an appointment within the same day in appreciation of considerate notice. If you will be late and cannot make your scheduled appointment, please notify us immediately and we will reschedule your appointment (pending booking availability and COVID measures are both met). If we cannot move you to another time on the same day, no fee will be incurred if we have to move your appointment to another day.

SAME-DAY CANCELLATION WITHIN AN 8-hour window

Cancellations within the 8-hour period of your appointment time will incur a 50% charge. A one-time ‘no charge’ consideration will be provided and recorded in your file.

missed appointments

24-hours notice is requested for appointments that will not be attended to avoid a missed appointment charge. For those who do not provide notice that a booked appointment will be missed (including those running late and arriving out of their booking time), the full value (100%) of the booked appointment will be charged if you have previously received your one-time ‘no charge’ consideration.

Courtesy ‘no charge’ consideration reminder

For those missing their first appointment or incurring a same day cancellation, a one-time ‘no charge’ consideration will be provided and recorded in your file.

Emergency considerations

Cancellation requested in the event of an emergency will be considered upon the merit of the emergency.

If you cannot make your appointment as scheduled, in consideration for other patients and our team—please call us as soon as possible to cancel or modify you existing booking.
